SUMMARY:Regular | Tai Chi with Enid in the Park (18+) - FREE for new participants
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Term 2026-27 \nFREE for new participants \n  \nFollowing the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method we work with seated breathing and preparation exercises\, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements\, Qi Gong and the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). The slow fluid movements\, originating from oriental martial arts\, relax the upper body and mind while strengthening and challenging the legs and core muscles. Participants report feeling improved balance and blood pressure\, calmer\, more grounded and re-energised. \n  \nWith practice\, we increase our body awareness and focussed concentration\, discovering a calmer presence with new perceptions of ourselves and the world around us – Being more in the flow. \n  \nBeing outside in the park is the perfect place to practice this ancient activity however we are dependant on the weather so remember to wear comfortable and seasonal clothing. If you have any queries about the class taking place due to weather conditions\, please message Enid directly. \nWe meet near the War Memorial on The Grange. \n  \nPrevious experience of tai chi or L’Art du Chi is beneficial but not essential. \n  \nOpen-air class rates: £8/class; £29/5wk block; £30/carnet card – 4 classes within 6 consecutive weeks (holidays not counted) \nTerm 1 – 5 weeks – 1st September-29th September \nHalf-term break – No classes between 5th-9th October \nTerm 2 – 5 weeks – 13th October-10th November

SUMMARY:Regular | Chi & Qigong with Enid (18+) - FREE for new participants
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Term 2026-27 \nFREE for new participants \n  \nCome and join us in the Council Chamber\, above the Leominster Tourist Information Centre. Following the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method we work with seated breathing and preparation exercises\, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements & Qigong exercises. The slow fluid movements relax the upper body and mind while linking everything to our breath and sense of energy flow. \n  \nThere is also another unexpected benefit to this practice and which develops over time – the quiet restfulness of meditation in movement. Participants often experience reduced blood pressure\, feeling calmer\, more grounded and re-energised. \n  \nIt’s important to wear comfortable clothing and layers are recommended so you can adjust to suit how you feel. Also\, bringing a small cushion can really help when we’re sitting\, supporting our backs and improving our posture. \n  \nThis class is intended for beginners however all levels are welcome. \nPlaces are limited – Essential to pre-register if new to the group. \n  \nClass rates: £10/class\, £45/5wk block\, £38.50 carnet card – 4 classes within 6 consecutive weeks (holidays not counted) \nTerm 1 – 5 weeks – 2nd September-30th September \nHalf-term break\, no classes between 5th-9th October \nTerm 2 – 5 weeks – 14th October-11th November
