SUMMARY:Regular | Chi & Qigong with Enid (18+)
DESCRIPTION:Spring Term 2025 \nCome and join us in the Council Chamber\, above the Leominster Tourist Information Centre. Following the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method we work with seated breathing and preparation exercises\, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements & Qigong exercises. The slow fluid movements relax the upper body and mind while linking everything to our breath and sense of energy flow. There is also another unexpected benefit to this practice and which develops over time – the quiet restfulness of meditation in movement. Participants often experience reduced blood pressure\, feeling calmer\, more grounded and re-energised. \nIt’s important to wear comfortable clothing and layers are recommended so you can adjust to suit how you feel. Also\, bringing a small cushion can really help when we’re sitting\, supporting our backs and improving our posture. \nThis class is intended for beginners however all levels are welcome. \nEssential to pre-register if new to the group. \n12-week term – 15th January-9th April (Half-term break – week 17th February) \nIndoor class rate:£40/5wk – first half term; £35 carnet card – 4 classes within 6 weeks \n  \n

SUMMARY:Regular | Tai Chi with Enid (18+)
DESCRIPTION:Spring Term 2025 \nFollowing the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method we work with seated breathing and preparation exercises\, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements\, Qi Gong and the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). These slow fluid movements\, originating from oriental martial arts\, relax the upper body and mind while strengthening and challenging the legs and core muscles. There is also another unexpected benefit to this practice and which develops over time\, the quiet restfulness of meditation in movement. Participants often experience improved balance\, reduced blood pressure\, feeling calmer\, more grounded and re-energised. \nIt’s important to wear comfortable clothing and layers are recommended so you can adjust to suit how you feel. Also\, bringing a small cushion can really help when we’re sitting\, supporting our backs and improving our posture. \nNo previous experience needed. \nEssential to pre-register if new to the group. \n12-week term – 15th January-9th April (Half-term break – week 17th February) \nClass rate: £40/5wk – first half term\, £35 carnet card – 4 classes within 6 weeks \n

SUMMARY:Monthly | Tai Chi with Enid (18+)
DESCRIPTION:Spring Term 2024-25 \nThese 2hr sessions will be following the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method of Tai Chi Chaun\, including relaxation and centering work on mats\, seated breathing and preparation exercises\, gentle standing warm-up movements\, Qigong and building the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). These slow fluid movements\, originating from oriental martial arts\, relax the upper body and mind while strengthening and challenging the legs and core muscles. There is also another unexpected benefit to this practice and which develops over time\, the quiet restfulness of meditation in movement. Comfort breaks will be included. \nEssential to pre-register if new to the group. \n3 sessions – 17th January\, 14th February\, 14th March \nClass rate: £36/term (£12/session)
