SUMMARY:Regular | Tai Chi with Enid (18+)
DESCRIPTION:Spring Term 2025 \nFollowing the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method we work with seated breathing and preparation exercises\, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements\, Qi Gong and the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). These slow fluid movements\, originating from oriental martial arts\, relax the upper body and mind while strengthening and challenging the legs and core muscles. There is also another unexpected benefit to this practice and which develops over time\, the quiet restfulness of meditation in movement. Participants often experience improved balance\, reduced blood pressure\, feeling calmer\, more grounded and re-energised. \nIt’s important to wear comfortable clothing and layers are recommended so you can adjust to suit how you feel. Also\, bringing a small cushion can really help when we’re sitting\, supporting our backs and improving our posture. \nNo previous experience needed. \nEssential to pre-register if new to the group. \n12-week term – 15th January-9th April (Half-term break – week 17th February) \nClass rate: £40/5wk – first half term\, £35 carnet card – 4 classes within 6 weeks \n

SUMMARY:Regular | Tai Chi with Enid (18+)
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Term 2024-25 \nWe work with seated breathing and preparation exercises\, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements\, Qi Gong and the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). The slow fluid movements\, originating from oriental martial arts\, relax the upper body and mind while strengthening and challenging the legs and core muscles. \nWeekly classes until & including Thursday 5th December 2024 \nClass rate: £48/6wk half term\, £35 carnet card – 4 classes within 6 weeks

SUMMARY:Regular | Tai Chi with Enid in the Park (18+) - Continuing level
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Term 2024-25 \nFollowing the L’Art du Chi\, Stevanovitch method\, Enid will lead you through gentle warm-up exercises\, Qi Gong movements and the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). \nBeing outside in the park is the perfect place to practice this ancient activity however we are dependant on the weather so remember to wear comfortable and seasonal clothing. If you have any queries about the class taking place due to weather conditions\, please message Enid directly. \nPrevious experience of tai chi or L’Art du Chi is beneficial. \nWe meet near the War Memorial on The Grange. \n12-week term – 10th September-3rd December (Half-term break – week 28th October) \nOpen-air class rates: £7/class; £24/4wk block; £26/carnet card – 4 classes within 6 weeks
