Regular | Tai Chi with Enid (18+)

February 5 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Spring Term 2025

Following the L’Art du Chi, Stevanovitch method we work with seated breathing and preparation exercises, followed by gentle standing warm-up movements, Qi Gong and the Yang Short Form (24 Postures). These slow fluid movements, originating from oriental martial arts, relax the upper body and mind while strengthening and challenging the legs and core muscles. There is also another unexpected benefit to this practice and which develops over time, the quiet restfulness of meditation in movement. Participants often experience improved balance, reduced blood pressure, feeling calmer, more grounded and re-energised.

It’s important to wear comfortable clothing and layers are recommended so you can adjust to suit how you feel. Also, bringing a small cushion can really help when we’re sitting, supporting our backs and improving our posture.

No previous experience needed.

Essential to pre-register if new to the group.

12-week term – 15th January-9th April (Half-term break – week 17th February)

Class rate: £40/5wk – first half term, £35 carnet card – 4 classes within 6 weeks
